Monday was the day we were leaving our luxurious apartment in Tampa and heading out to the beaches area. We loved staying at the apartment, and were very sad to be leaving.
We finished packing and tidying in the morning, and Sean popped into the Patel Conservatory to work with the IT person on the network issues we had. We then took the obligitory timed family photo and headed South. We had about 45 minutes to spare before we were meeting with the new apartment owner so we had brunch at the Waffle House.
The new place is OK. We were really spoiled by having such a wonderful first place. The biggest problem is the owners have an obsession with air fresheners, so the place smells of so many chemicals your head hurts. We've found most of them but there's still one somewhere around we haven't tracked down.
The good thing about the condo is it overlooks the bay. We have an excellent view from the kitchen / livingroom. We lazed about for hours, reading while sipping wine sitting on the dock of the bay. It was very much like being in SL on the edge of a sim watching the fancy water ripple effects!
After seeing an overcast sunset we headed out for dinner. We drove to John's Pass Boardwalk nearby. We wandered about the shops and restaurants, settling on The Hut, as they had a guy in front of a tacky tiki face statue, playing the guitar and singing above the bar. Louis didn't really settle to sleep so we took it in turns to hold him and wander up and down the boardwalk.
